Carbon Fiber Engine Bay Reinforcement Bars (Anti-Creep) — BMW 2 Series G42, 3 Series G20, 4 Series G22 (Pair)
The detail that makes all the difference, the moment you open the hood
On modern BMWs, the engine bay is no longer a technical area meant to be hidden. It’s a space meant to be shown off: at car meets, in the garage, or to anyone who asks you to pop the hood. And yet, it almost always remains stock: matte black plastic, raw aluminum, no customization. On the contrary, it’s getting worse every year—we see fewer and fewer engines; everything is hidden behind plastic panels.
These carbon-fiber anti-crease bars change that in just a few minutes. Positioned on either side of the engine compartment—exactly where the eye lands first—they add the depth of carbon fiber weave and the shine of a mirror-finish lacquer where your BMW previously offered only a utilitarian aluminum trim piece.
Lightweight and Durable
Carbon fiber is used in the aerospace and auto racing industries for one simple reason: no other material offers such a favorable stiffness-to-weight ratio. The fibers, which are woven and then embedded in resin under pressure, form a structure that is strong yet lightweight.
Your reinforcement bars directly incorporate this technology. A 3K twill weave, machined aluminum end caps at the attachment points, and a lacquered finish that protects the composite over time. A component that feels solid to the touch, is lightweight in the hand, and is built to retain its beauty for years to come.
Real carbon
The difference is immediately visible and can be felt to the touch.
- Genuine carbon fiber, 3K twill weave (2×2 twill), the most sought-after weave for its regular pattern and depth
- High-gloss finish varnish, applied in several layers for a «wet look» and UV protection
- Machined aluminum end caps, inserted into the mounting points to ensure precise and long-lasting clamping without crushing the composite
- Longitudinal rib integrated into the structure, which replicates the design of the original piece while refining its silhouette
The result: a part that catches the light from every angle and remains the focal point of the engine bay, even when installed next to an original engine cover.
Editing Anyone Can Do
These bars align exactly with the original mounting points. No drilling, no cutting, no modifications.
- Open the hood and locate the two diagonal struts on either side of the engine compartment
- Loosen the original screws at each end
- Remove the original part
- Position the carbon fiber bar and reassemble it using the original hardware
- Tighten to the torque specified by BMW
Allow 15 minutes for the pair, using just a set of keys. No reprogramming, no dashboard warning lights, and no trace left behind if you restore the vehicle to its original condition.

Before Ordering : Open your hood and check for the two original diagonal struts—one on each side—connecting the shock absorber mount to the front cross member. Some engine types and model years are not equipped with them. Not sure? Send us a photo of your engine compartment, and we’ll get back to you quickly.
The original screws are reused—no additional screws are needed.
Interview
A microfiber cloth and a solvent-free cleaner are all you need. As with any high-gloss painted surface, avoid abrasive products and high-pressure washers used at close range. Applying wax or a ceramic coating once or twice a year will help maintain the depth of the paint finish.
